Wireless AirPods Charging Case Expected Soon, but AirPods 2 May Not Launch Until Fall - Mac Rumors

Posted: 12 Feb 2019 05:27 AM PST

OnLeaks' Steve Hemmerstoffer today tweeted that the AirPods wireless charging case will be ready to launch sometime soon, but the actual AirPods 2 with "Hey, Siri" funtionality may be delayed to the fall.

OnLeaks itself casts some doubt on this rumor, by stating up front that the news was gained from a "new and yet unconfirmed," but seemingly reliable source. Hemmerstoffer appears to be most certain about the wireless charging case launching soon and being shipped with the first-generation AirPods.

Most rumors about AirPods 2 have pointed toward an early 2019 launch for the new wireless earphones, so definitely take this new report with a grain of salt. Just this morning, a sketchy report from Greek tech news site iphonehellas.gr claimed the new iPads, AirPods 2, and AirPower are all set to launch on March 29. Yesterday, DigiTimes reiterated previous rumors that stated Apple will release AirPods 2 in the first half of the year.

When they do launch, OnLeaks says the AirPods 2 will come in new colors, and yesterday rumor site MySmartPrice claimed that the new headphones will come in black and white. Beyond AirPods 2 and their new "Hey, Siri" functionality, Apple is believed to already be working on the third-generation AirPods, which are rumored to have some form of water resistance.

Hemmerstoffer and OnLeaks have a previous track record of sourcing information from Apple's supply chain, as well as the supply chains of other smartphone manufacturers. For example, Hemmerstoffer shared renders of the 2018 iPad Pro with accurate depictions of the tablet's redesign one month before the device was revealed by Apple.

Here’s All the Options In Gmail’s New Right-Click Menu - Tom's Guide

Posted: 12 Feb 2019 04:31 AM PST

It looks like the web version of Gmail is getting a lot more useful, thanks to new additions to the context menu you access by right-clicking on your mouse or touchpad.Credit: ShutterstockCredit: ShutterstockThis is a big improvement over the lame three right-click options Gmail users have had: archive, mark as unread, and delete.

The new features will reach paid Gsuite users first. The gradual rollout yesterday (February 11) for companies that have the “rapid release” selected in their upgrade options, while scheduled release domains rollout will start on February 22.

There’s no word yet about when the update will free gmail.com users. The new options include the following:

Reply/Forward

Reply or forward an email, so you don’t have to click on the message before taking these actions.

Reply All

This option comes in handy since most of us typically open a message first and then hunt for the Reply All button.

Find emails from sender

Search for all emails from a sender, which is particularly useful to quickly access your history with that person.

Search subject

If conversation view is turned off (see image below), you will be able to search for all emails with the same subject for quick access to the thread’s history.

Open multiple emails in multiple new windows at the same time, which is very useful in case you want to serially take care of different subjects without having to go back and forth.

Add label/move

And perhaps the most useful for those obsessed with mail classification: add a label or move an email, individually or in bulk.

Mark as Unread

This can make it easier to find important messages as you scan your inbox.

Snooze

With the snooze option you can temporarily remove items from your inbox until you need them later. You can decide the timeframe, whether it's tomorrow or next week. And if you snooze something by accident of just need to see it, there's a Snoozed option under the Menu.
