E3 2019: Tales of Arise Leaks Ahead of Microsoft Xbox Presser - Push Square

Posted: 07 Jun 2019 06:00 PM PDT

Tales of Arise

For once, 4chan has delivered the goods. A new entry in the Tales franchise has just leaked, named Tales of Arise. It's coming to PlayStation 4, and will most likely be officially announced at Microsoft's E3 2019 press conference on Sunday night.

It's quite a dramatic change in art style, judging by the screenshot above, isn't it? With a slightly more realistic take on things and those booming colours, this one is set to be a real looker. That's all we have to go on right now, but it's always nice to know that something is coming for fans of the series.

Are you looking forward to seeing more at Microsoft's upcoming presser? Strike in the comments below.

What network speeds do I need for Stadia? - Android Central

Posted: 07 Jun 2019 02:30 PM PDT

Best answer: Depending on which package you get and the resolution you want to stream at, you may not need as much for streaming Stadia as you'd think. For 4K 60FPS streaming, Google recommends 35 mbps, but 10 mbps is the minimum recommended bandwidth.

Does it matter which Stadia version I subscribe to?

Partially. If you don't have a Stadia Pro subscription, it doesn't matter what your internet connection is, you'll only be able to stream up to 1080p with Stadia Base. If you decide to subscribe to Stadia Pro for $10/month, you'll be able to stream gaming content at 4K resolution provided your internet connection is fast enough.

Will my connection speeds affect game resolution?

The slower your connection is, the lower your resolution will go. Stadia streaming quality can drop all the way to 720p on a 10 Mbps connection, even if you have Stadia Pro. Likewise, you could have the best internet package available and only stream at up to 1080p if you decide to stick to the free Stadia Base.

A 20 Mbps connection is recommended to stream in 1080p, so if you're not going Pro, that's all you'll need.

How much data will this use up?

According to PC Gamer, a person streaming at 4K resolution with Stadia will use about 1TB of data in 65 hours. If you have 1TB data cap and don't stream anything else, that gives you roughly 2 hours of play a day. For 1080p, that number jumps to 113 hours of streaming per month, again assuming that you don't use any other data whatsoever.

What's the average broadband speed in America?

The average fixed broadband speed in the United States in 2018 was 121 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up — when it comes to streaming, you'll be concerned with your download speeds as opposed to your upload. These numbers are deceptive as they are heavily skewed by major cities. If you live in small town in the Midwest, you could be receiving much lower speeds. And this is also dependent on which ISP you have and what package you buy from them.

Google Maps lets you see how fast you’re driving. Here’s how - CNET

Posted: 08 Jun 2019 06:00 AM PDT

Google has been busy updating Google Maps in the past month, first rolling out speed limit indicators and then speed camera alerts. The latest feature to join Google's mapping app is a speedometer that shows up while you're driving. While yes, of course your car already has one, the idea is to be able to see your speed in a glance if you're already looking at the app to check on directions -- and keep your eyes on the road rather than darting back and forth between the app and your dashboard speedometer.

Google is currently rolling this out, so you might need to be patient if you don't have it yet. You can check the Maps app settings to see if you have it.

Here's how to turn on the latest features.

Turn on the speedometer

1. Open your Google Maps app.

2. Tap on the three stacked lines and scroll down to the bottom of your screen.

3. Select Settings.

4. Tap Navigation Settings.

5. Scroll down to the Driving Options menu and slide the toggle on for Speedometer. If you don't see this option, you probably don't have this new feature yet.

Report a speed camera trap

1. Open your Google Maps app.

2. Type in your destination to start navigating -- you can only report the speed cameras if you're in navigation mode.

3. Tap the speech bubble icon with the plus sign.

4. Select Mobile speed camera.

5. A popup message will appear that says "Adding mobile speed camera to the map."

6. If you didn't mean to report anything, you have a few seconds to cancel by tapping the circle that says Undo.

Report an incident, like a car crash or a traffic jam

1. Open your Google Maps app.

2. Type in your destination to start navigating -- you can only report incidents if you're in navigation mode.

3. When you're on the road and you see a wreck or a slowdown, tap the speech bubble icon with the plus sign.

4. Tap Add a report.

5. Select crash or slowdown. A message will appear that says "Adding [crash, slowdown] to the map." You can click Undo if you don't want to send it.
