Cyberpunk 2077 third-person mode - Rock Paper Shotgun

Posted: 11 Dec 2020 07:33 AM PST

Cyberpunk 2077 is predominantly a first-person game, with players seeing the world of Night City from the eyes of its protagonist, V. But many players are wondering whether it is possible to play the game in third-person mode instead. This guide will answer your questions about whether third-person exists in Cyberpunk 2077, and how much of the game you can play from this perspective.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person game. Third-person mode does not exist while you are on-foot; it only exists as an option while you are driving a vehicle. So, if you want to play through V's story with a camera at their back, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed with CD Projekt Red's long-standing choice to make Cyberpunk 2077 a first-person game at its core.

There are a scant few cutscenes throughout the story of Cyberpunk 2077 where you will be able to see V without the use of a mirror. CDPR's intention in keeping Cyberpunk 2077 a primarily first-person game was to maximise the player's sense of immersion. The vast majority of animations in the game were designed with first-person view in mind, and would likely look strange or broken in third-person.

That said, you have a couple of limited options for going third-person in Cyberpunk 2077. The first is that you can toggle third-person on and off while driving a vehicle of any kind. Just hit the Cycle Camera key (default "Q") to switch between first-person and a couple of different third-person options.

Sometimes, you may find that you are unable to switch away from first-person while in a vehicle. This is a bug, and Jake has written up a guide on how to solve this issue.

Your only other option if you want to view your custom-tailored V from behind is to enter Photo Mode. You can do this by hitting the Photo Mode button (default "N"). Unfortunately, time will stop while in Photo Mode, which means – as you might expect – photo mode is only good for taking photos. You can't actually play the game in third-person using this method. Check out our Cyberpunk 2077 Photo Mode guide for more information.

Newest Samsung Galaxy S21 5G leak details storage options, new S Pen cases - PhoneArena

Posted: 11 Dec 2020 06:50 AM PST

Samsung Experience store employees recently confirmed the Galaxy S21 launch date and several other details. Now, another leak corroborates the planned colors and reveals more information including the storage options.

Samsung's Galaxy S21will offer 128GB of base storage

Tipster Roland Quandt from WinFuture has obtained new information from his reliable sources that indicates Samsung will offer the upcoming Galaxy S21 series with 128GB of base storage in Germany.
That news isn't too surprising because the Galaxy S20 series also includes 128GB of storage as standard, but you'd be forgiven for being a bit disappointed. After all, the base Galaxy Note 20 models offer 256GB of storage instead.

The good news is that Samsung has plans for more expensive variants too. Anybody interested in the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ will have the option of picking up their device with 256GB of storage. Buyers of the Samsung Galaxy S21 will get an additional choice. As well as the 128GB and 256GB models, a top-of-the-line 512GB version is also in the pipeline.

It remains to be seen how much RAM is going to be included inside each model — rumors suggest 8GB of RAM for the Galaxy S21 and S21+, and 12GB for the S21 Ultra — but the storage options mentioned above will presumably apply to the whole of Europe, not just Germany, and the United States too.

In summary, the Galaxy S21 lineup should be available with the following storage options:

  • Samsung Galaxy S21 — 128GB or 256GB
  • Samsung Galaxy S21+ — 128GB or 256GB
  • Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra — 128GB or 256GB or 512GB

On an unrelated note, Samsung is working on 4G LTE variants of its flagship lineup but those are going to be limited to emergin markets like Brazil. Elsewhere the Galaxy S21 series will offer 5G connectivity as standard.

More Samsung Galaxy S21 colors could arrive at a later date

Moving over to the topic of colors, Quandt has corroborated earlier leaks including the information provided by Samsung Experience store employees in India as recently as yesterday. Per everything we know so far, the Galaxy S21 series looks set to be available in the following colorways at launch:

  • Samsung Galaxy S21 — Phantom Gray, Phantom White, Phantom Violet, and Phantom Pink
  • Samsung Galaxy S21+ — Phantom Silver, Phantom Black, and Phantom Violet
  • Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra — Phantom Silver and Phantom Black
However, these might not be the only finishes Samsung has up its sleeves. Per display industry analyst Ross Young, the company is planning brown, dark blue, and titanium Galaxy S21 Ultra models for release as soon as April.

Samsung is working on dedicated S Pen cases for the S21 Ultra

Finally, this particular leak also includes some important information about the rumored S Pen support on the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Leakead CAD-based renders confirmed the phone won't ship with an S Pen inside, but it will still support the stylus.

For anybody interested in acquiring the stylus, Samsung has plans for a dedicated range of cases that are designed to carry the S Pen when it isn't in use. Adapted versions of the official Silicon Cover and Clear View Cover are planned, although other cases could be made available.

Cyberpunk 2077 Characters Won't Stop Following Some Players Around - Kotaku

Cyberpunk 2077 is having a buggy launch, from the hilarious to the disappointing. Some players are reporting a bug that's either funny or creepy, depending how you look at it: story NPCs who won't stop following them around.

(Some mild story spoilers for Cyberpunk 2077 ahead.)

You meet Maelstrom gang member Dum Dum in an early story mission at the gang's hideout. The mission can go a lot of different ways depending how you play, but multiple players are reporting that Dum Dum follows them around long after his mission is over, showing up on Night City streets and even accompanying them on subsequent story missions. "He actually helped me fight too!" one player wrote on Reddit. Players are also reporting the bug on Twitter, along with sharing images of Dum Dum's various awkward cameos. Some report that they'll lose him for a while, only for him to magically reappear in the background or in their cars.

Dum Dum's not the only overly-attached NPC. One player wrote on Reddit that Hwangbo, an NPC you rescue in a side mission, has since been following them around. "Fast travel will get rid of him for a few minutes, but then I see the green icon appear on my radar and sure enough he is following me all through Night City," they wrote, sharing a hilarious imgur gallery of the results. This bug isn't quite as out-of-the-blue as Dum Dum; you're meant to escort Hwangbo to a dropoff point, but the player writes that the mission "never progressed after the part where the bad guys come. Shootout happened and then that was literally it. Now he follows me everywhere."

If you're having an NPC bug and for some reason aren't completely in love with it, players are offering various fixes. Some players are saying Dum Dum disappeared for them as they progressed through the story. Others found they could lose him by quickly driving away from him in a one-seat vehicle.

Many players are finding it pretty hilarious, a sentiment I have to say I share. I haven't experienced this bug myself, but please show me your pictures if you have. We could all use a little joy.
